The Ratings Criteria of LATCH

One of the best ways to test a vehicle is by putting in a criteria that the vehicle must pass in order to be successful. When it comes to LATCH, the evaluation of this set of hardware is tested based on certain criteria that must be met in order for it to be successful.

One of the criteria that is put in the LATCH evaluation is the lower anchor accessibility. If the lower anchor is accessible, then it is going to make the vehicle safer. Anchors that are obscure or otherwise hard to reach are not good for the children.

There are a few characteristics that are looked at when it comes to the anchors. One characteristic that is looked at is the force. The force has to be lighter than 40 pounds in order to attach the tool and be safe for the child in the vehicle.
