Comparing a Donut Vs. a Regular Spare Tire

If you get a flat tire, you will likely have a replacement available in the trunk of your car. Replacement tires may be full-size or compact, and there are multiple differences between the two. If the car has a regular spare, you can put it on the car and drive without limitations.

However, if you have a donut tire, you should drive it slowly to the nearest service center. Generally speaking, you can drive up to 55 miles at 55 miles per hour on the compact spare before it needs to be replaced. Ideally, you will not drive with a compact spare on the highway or other roads with high speed limits.

At Hatfield Kia, our top priority is to make sure that you have drive safely at all times. We can help examine, repair and replace your tires in a timely and affordable manner.
